TIA and Avalon Announce 2025 Trimester 2 CTB Scholarship Winners

Alexandria, VA – May 1, 2025 – The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) and Avalon Risk Management congratulate Vladimir Eremin, Director of Operations at MGH Logistics, and Spencer Ross, VP, Business Development at BFS Logistics, for receiving the Avalon and TIA CTB Trimester 2 Scholarship.
“TIA is grateful for Avalon’s continued investment in our CTB certification program,” said Chris Burroughs, President & CEO of TIA. “By providing scholarships for the industry’s premier designation, Avalon is helping ensure that brokers have the resources they need to pursue and achieve their CTB certification.”
The CTB is the third-party logistics industry’s most widely recognized designation and is earned after a rigorous four-month course and comprehensive examination. CTB program sponsor Avalon offers two scholarships for each trimester.
“Avalon Risk Management is proud to partner with the TIA to advance education and professional development within the 3PL community, said Lisa Vranich, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Avalon. “Together, we are committed to empowering logistics professionals with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry. In support of our dedication, Avalon is excited to offer two scholarships for TIA’s CTB Program. By investing in the growth of talented individuals, we aim to strengthen our shared vision of excellence and innovation across the 3PL sector.”
The two recipients are eager to continue to pursue their careers in the 3PL and logistics industries and see the CTB as a vital piece in making them experts in the field.
“I see the CTB Course as a strategic investment in my long-term professional growth,” said Eremin of his experience. “As someone who has transitioned from individual contributor roles into leadership positions, including managing a national sales team, I am constantly seeking ways to expand my expertise and lead with greater confidence. Gaining formal knowledge in domestic freight brokerage—particularly around regulations, pricing, and carrier relationships—will not only make me a more effective leader but also allow me to better support my team as they navigate the U.S. market.”
“I hope to show my family, along with my professional obligations, that hard work and persistent development are keys to a long and fulfilling career, said Ross. ” I’ve worked with, and known, many professionals that have completed the CTB certification. I must admit that I was affected by their decisions to do so, and it stood out as a reminder of how taking additional professional steps can impact both yourself and those around you in an incredibly positive manner.”
