TIA Recognizes Thomas Nafziger as Trimester 3 Recipient of Bill Tucker Memorial Scholarship

Alexandria, VA [September 30, 2025] — The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) proudly announces that Thomas (TJ) Nafziger of Keller Logistics, LLC has been awarded the Trimester 3 Bill Tucker Memorial Scholarship. Established in 2024 to honor the late TIA leader and logistics pioneer, the scholarship is presented each trimester to the student with the highest prerequisite exam score in TIA’s Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) program.
“Congratulations to Thomas on earning the Trimester 3 Bill Tucker Memorial Scholarship”, said TIA President and CEO Chris Burroughs. “The CTB program is the gold standard for professional achievement in our industry, and this award reflects not only Thomas’s hard work, but also his commitment to advancing as a leader in logistics. We are proud to see the next generation of brokers building on Bill Tucker’s legacy of excellence and integrity in the 3PL community.”
“A heartfelt congratulations to Thomas Nafziger of Keller Logistics, LLC, for winning the Bill Tucker Memorial Scholarship this Trimester,” said Jeff and Jim Tucker. “Our dad Bill was one of the original founders of TIA in 1978 and was the force behind creating the CTB program years later. Thomas’ score was the highest score of the Trimester prerequisite attempts. Were he alive today, he’d congratulate you with a big smile, a handshake, and say something like, ‘well done, my scholar friend!’ Thank you, TIA, for recognizing deserving members through this scholarship.”
“I am honored and pleased to be participating in the CTB course for Trimester 3, as it provides a valuable opportunity for continued learning and professional development,” said Nafziger. “Being awarded the Bill Tucker Memorial Scholarship adds to the significance of this experience, and I sincerely appreciate the recognition and support it offers. This scholarship encourages me to dedicate myself fully to the course and serves as a reminder of the commitment and values it honors. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to making the most of it.”
Keller Logistics, a TIA member since 2004, currently has five CTBs on staff and continues to invest in professional development, with three employees, including Nafziger—enrolled in Trimester 3.
TIA’s CTB program – sponsored by Avalon Risk Management – is the most recognized certification in the third-party logistics industry.
