Meet the Brokers: RCS Freight Services
Following National Logistics Day on June 28, TIA is continuing to highlight the small and mid-sized businesses that help keep America’s supply chain moving. From coordinating critical deliveries to supporting local communities, freight brokers solve problems behind the scenes every day. Today, we’re featuring RCS Freight Services, with offices in Bealeton, Virginia, and San Antonio, Texas.
Q&A with RCS Freight Services
About Us
Think of us as real estate agents for freight. Instead of houses, we move lumber, steel, and everything in between, from pickup to delivery. RCS Freight Services runs two offices: Bealeton, VA and San Antonio, TX. Three on the desk in Virginia, six in Texas. Small crew, full coverage across the mainland US.
The service is white glove. We touch every load that comes in and out, and we track it the whole way. Customers hand us their freight and trust us to move all of it. One load of timber that has to be there today, or a 100-load project that runs for weeks. RCS handles both.
Keeping Freight Moving
Recently, our team moved lumber, steel rebar, concrete wall panels bound for data centers, manholes, jersey walls, trees, refractory material, and steel bridging and decking. Lumber and steel are the heavy hitters. San Antonio runs the van and reefer freight.
Here’s what that work really means. A job site with a full crew and no material is a job site bleeding money. When the freight has to land, RCS makes sure it lands. The crew keeps working.
Supporting Our Community
We hire local too. Everyone who works here lives nearby. Off the clock, the team shows up at animal shelter booths, hands out water and snacks at the flea market, and gives to Relay for Life.
We’re also a tight-knit operation that many owner-operators count on for steady work.
