Share

House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) has announced the chairs of the panel’s six subcommittees for the 119th Congress, highlighting their experience and leadership. “Our subcommittee chairs bring proven expertise and a strong track record,” said Graves. “They are instrumental to our agenda of building a safer, stronger and more efficient transportation and infrastructure network.”  TIA appreciates the leadership changes as it underscores the committee’s bipartisan focus on advancing infrastructure priorities, including leading the legislative charge to combat fraud in the supply chain.

Below is a list of the subcommittee, the chairs and priorities for the 119th Congress.

Subcommittee Chairs:

  • Aviation: Rep. Troy E. Nehls (R-TX) will prioritize implementing the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024, enhancing safety and improving efficiency.
  • Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation: Rep. Daniel Webster (R-FL) will focus on ensuring the Coast Guard has the necessary resources to address 21st-century challenges and bolster maritime industries.
  • Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management: Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) aims to advance federal office space reforms initiated in the previous Congress.
  • Highways and Transit: Rep. Rick Crawford (R-AR) will lead efforts on the Surface Transportation Reauthorization bill, addressing Highway Trust Fund solvency and supply chain security.
  • Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials: Rep. David Rouzer (R-NC) will prioritize strengthening rail and pipeline infrastructure to enhance safety, energy security and economic growth.
  • Water Resources and Environment: Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) will tackle regulatory reforms and develop America’s ports, including Savannah, to improve trade competitiveness.

Subcommittee Updates:

  • Rep. Troy Nehls transitions from Railroads to chair the Aviation Subcommittee.
  • Rep. Mike Collins assumes leadership of Water Resources and Environment.
  • Reps. Crawford, Perry, and Webster retain their respective roles.
