CTB Scholarships Available

TIAIRE’s CTB program, sponsored by Avalon Risk Management, is the most recognized certification in the 3PL industry, offering professionals a chance to earn the highest broker certification available.

Scholarship Options

1. Bill Tucker Scholarship:

The Bill Tucker CTB Scholarship, established in 2024, honors the legacy of William J. “Bill” Tucker, a founding father of TIA and the Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) certification program. Awarded each trimester to the student with the highest pre-requisite exam score, this prestigious scholarship recognizes excellence in the industry.

2. Avalon Scholarship:

Avalon Risk Management sponsors six CTB scholarships through the year, two for each trimester. Avalon has been a supporter of TIA for more than 16 years.

Application closes December 8 at midnight.

Application Policies Below:
  • TIA Foundation offers two scholarships each trimester for TIA Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) program.
  • Currently, application is open for Trimester 1 (Jan. 6 – Apr. 19, 2025) sponsored by Avalon Risk Management.
  • Scholarships cover:
    • Registration for Trimester 1
    • Online Study Course
    • Three CTB exam sections for the April 19 exam (9am-5pm ET)
    • One extra exam section if failed on the first attempt.
  • CTB Trimester 1 registration fee is waived for recipients.
  • Selection made by the TIA CTB Committee.
  • Only one candidate per company; must be first-time CTB candidates.
  • Applicants must pass the pre-requisite test within two attempts and be TIA members.
  • Winners not passing the prerequisite will not be enrolled in the course.
  • Completed applications must be submitted by December 8, 2024.
  • Essay section is mandatory for consideration.
  • Recipients will be notified by December 13, 2024.
  • Scholarship recipients must take the CTB exam on April 19, 2025 (9am-5pm ET).
