Chris Burroughs Named Next President & CEO of TIA

[Alexandria, Va., Sept. 26, 2024] — The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Christopher Burroughs will succeed Anne Reinke as president & CEO of TIA at the end of November.

Commenting on the transition, TIA Board of Directors Chair Mark Christos said, “We thank Anne for her service while at TIA. She joined TIA in the middle of COVID, has positioned us well as membership, education and our conferences have grown. We are excited for Chris and the leadership he will bring. His strong background in government affairs and his deep connection to members and their needs positions us well for continued success. Over the years, Chris has played an integral role in helping TIA become the leader in the supply chain industry, especially when it comes to fighting fraud. We have made progress on fraud and last week over 100 members and technology leaders in our industry visited with Congressional and FMCSA leaders to further ways to reduce the sharp rise of fraud.”

Burroughs has been with TIA for 13 years and most recently as its vice president of Government Affairs for the past six years. He currently oversees all legislative and regulatory efforts before Congress and the federal agencies. He has played a key role in positioning TIA as the Trusted Voice of the 3PL Industry with Congressional and FMCSA leaders. Under his leadership TIA has obtained support for many key policy priorities that have moved our industry forward, including the passage of CTPAT Pilot Program Act of 2023. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) Plan and was nominated two years ago to serve as the chair of the Industry Advisory Subcommittee.

“I am honored to serve as the next president & CEO of TIA and look forward to continuing to empower our members to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape,” said Burroughs.
